Lesson 5 Outline
Heb 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

Subject Exhorting One Another
Theme Why we should Exhort One Another
Define Exhort means to comfort, strengthen, or encourage
Proposition Every Christian can Exhort One Another
Transition Because of the following reasons
Point 1 They Need it
Argue In suffering and honor they need exhortation
Illustrate Moses hands held up Exodus 17
Apply When you exhort others they win battles
Point 2 You Need it
Argue In suffering and honor you need exhortation
Illustrate Acts 27 Paul exhorts those in the storm
Apply When others exhort you, you make it through the storm
Conclusion
Exhortation is not about a shallow “how are you” when you come into church. Exhortation is about encouraging, comforting, and strengthening people in the midst of their suffering, their battles, and their storms. But do you know others well enough that you can exhort them in their suffering, battles, and storms? Do others know you well enough to exhort you in your suffering, battles and storms? Exhorting others and being exhorted are necessary for a right relationship in your local church. What changes will you have to make to “exhort one another”?
